Creation Standards
We strongly suggest the following when developing your
digital files:
Save your files in the application's native file
format, or as an Adobe Acrobat PDF file. Never save as a text or ASCII
file.
For booklets, use either U.S. Letter (8-1/2" x 11")
or US Statement (5-1/2" x 8-1/2") for the document's page size, regardless
of final booklet page size.
Use margins of at least 1/4" on all sides.
Do not use the space bar to position an indent or
tab. Always use the tab key.
Always set up a hanging indent properly. Do not use
the tab key, hard returns or spaces.
Do not use hard returns at the end of each line.
Allow word wrap to occur.
Do not use a hard hyphen to split a word at the end
of a line.
Include all linked tables, charts, and graphics with
your transmission as separate files (if they are not embedded).
Use only Postscript or TrueType fonts and check to
see if we have any unusual fonts that you may be using. This is not
required if you are sending PDF files.
Submit your job early if you have not worked with us
previously. That way, we can check your files to determine if any problems
exist.
